In this lecture Professor Kristin Beach, MSN, BSN, RN will be discussing Urinary Incontinence. We will begin this lecture by reviewing the physiology of the micturition reflex. We will then move into the different types of incontinence including urge, stress, overflow, mixed, and functional incontinence. We will conclude this lecture with the signs and symptoms, tests and assessments, nursing interventions, and the treatment / education of a patient that has urinary incontinence.
