In this lecture Professor Zach Murphy will be discussing nerve injury along with wallerian degeneration and regeneration. During this lecture we begin by lecturing on the normal anatomy of a nerve including the epineurium, perineurium, and endoneurium. Next, we will review the Seddon classification of nerve injury including Neurapraxia, Axonotmesis, and Neurotmesis. Finally, we conclude with the process of wallerian degeneration including proximal and distal segment changes along with the regeneration physiology.
