New Pharmacology Lecture on Antiarrhythmic Drugs

Work Completed

In this lecture Professor Zach Murphy will be presenting on Antiarrhythmic Drugs. We begin this lecture by reviewing Cardiac Physiology which will be essential in order to understand how these antiarrhythmics work. We will then go through the 5 types of Antiarrhythmic Drugs which include: Sodium Channel Blockers (Type I AAD), Beta Blockers (Type II AAD), Potassium Channel Blockers (Type III AAD), Calcium Channel Blockers (Type IV AAD), Adenosine + Digoxin (Type V AAD). After discussing these classes of drugs mechanism of action and indications, we will then transition into each of these types of drugs adverse reactions. We conclude this lecture by going over practice problems for Antiarrhythmic Drugs that we will be reviewing with you. We hope you enjoy this lecture!

In this lecture Professor Zach Murphy will be presenting on CBC | Approach to Anemia. We will first be starting with the basics and discussing the lifecycle of a RBC. We will then move into our systematic approach on how to interpret a CBC and what tests are relevant to ordering. We begin by discussing the main categories for a decreased production of RBCs which will include microcytic, normocytic, and macrocytic anemias. We will then transition into RBC destruction and loss including hemolytic anemias and blood loss anemia. We will be presenting case studies on all of the types of Anemia for additional practice. New Lecture on Cardiac Auscultation | Eko DUO

In this lecture Professor Zach Murphy will be showing you how to auscultate the heart on our patient Q while using the Eko DUO ECG and digital stethoscope. We will be auscultating at four locations which will include the RUSB, LUSB, LLSB, and Apex of the heart.
